Minutes for the County Convention

March 18, 2000

 

 

 

 

The county convention for the Libertarian Party of Tom Green County was held at Cheddars in San Angelo, Texas.  The convention was called to order at 7:30PM March 18, 2000 by Michael Brady, Temporary County Convention Chair.

 

The following participants were present at the convention:

Michael Brady

Reed Shahan

James Robinson

Robert K. Restivo

Tammie Robinson

Also present as guests were Dr. Debra Monde and George Schwappach.

 

Michael Brady was elected County Convention Chair and the convention proceeded with its business.

 

Michael P. Brady was nominated to be a delegate to the 17th District Convention.  The nomination was approved 5-0.  No delegates to the 21st District Convention were nominated.

 

Robert K. Restivo was nominated for Tom Green County Commissioner, 3rd Precinct.  The nomination was approved 5-0.

 

The convention also elected officers for the Tom Green County Libertarian Party.

Vice Chair: Reed Shahan

Treasurer: James Robinson

Secretary: Jim Turner

Member at Large: Robert Restivo

 

The following Delegates were nominated to the state convention:

Michael Brady

 

Michael Brady made a motion to amend the Bylaws of the Tom Green County Libertarian Party.

The motion is as follows:  "to delete all references to the Texas Election Code as the governing authority, in the Tom Green County Libertarian Party Bylaws."  The motion was seconded by James Robinson.  The motion was adopted by a vote of 5-0.

 

Following that motion, the convention adjourned.
